Ieri sera si sono tenuti presso lo Staples Center di Los Angeles i Grammy Awards 2019, una manifestazione che rispetto agli scorsi anni ha ricevuto senza ombra di dubbio un tam tam mediatico minore.
Molti artisti infatti, persino molti dei vincitori, hanno infatti disertato l’evento, che anno dopo anno (va detto) perde di prestigio.
Childish Gambino è l’artista che si è portato a casa il maggior numero di premi, fra cui quelli legati alla Miglior canzone per il brano This is America (più altri due min grammofoni). Il 2019 per i Grammy è stato anche e soprattutto l’anno delle donne: Alicia Keys ha presentato l’award show e il premio per il Miglior album è andato alla cantautrice Casey Musgraves. Il 2019 segna inoltre la prima volta che un’artista donna, Cardi B, vince il premio per Best Rap Album. Ricordo inoltre il premio per Miglior artista emergente, assegnato a Dua Lipa.
